Short Description:

    The University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) was established in 1985. UCLM integrates 36 academic departments offering 45 degree qualifications. UCLM promotes collaborations between industry and academia and favours the dissemination of technological advances to the productive sectors of the region. A total of 17 R&D contracts were managed at UCLM under FP6 and 36 research projects under FP7 and CIP, as well as 8 H2020 granted projects, besides other European and international programs such as Interreg, JPEN or COST.

    Graphenano Nanotechnologies is a Spanish company established in 2012, which is devoted to the production of graphene supported on sheets and wires made of copper or nickel, powder of graphene and graphene oxide and carbon nanostructures. This company is seriously involved in the research and development of commercial and industrial applications of these materials in the fields of the electronics, electricity and  the design of new composites for thermal, mechanical and electrical purposes.

    Recently, Separex has been more and more involved in applications related to high tech Material Sciences, especially in the synthesis and development of aerogels and aerogel-based materials for many different applications by using supercritical CO2 as the processing solvent instead of standard ambient drying processes. The main achievement of SEPAREX's aerogels is the reduction of processing time and thus final cost of the material, making it affordable for common applications such as building insulation.

    The Madrid Institute for Advanced Studies in Nanoscience (IMDEA Nanoscience) is a multidisciplinary scientific research institution dedicated to the exploration of basic nanoscience and the development of applications of nanotechnology in connection with innovative industries.

Two institutes contribute to NANOLEAP: The Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials IFAM – Adhesive Bonding Technology and Surfaces (IFAM) is the largest independent research organization in Europe in the area of industrial adhesive bonding technology. The Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging IVV works in the field of flexible functional material development using compounding, extrusion, vacuum coating, lacquering, and adhesive lamination processes.

    The Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung Dresden e. V. (Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden) is one of the largest polymer research institutions in Germany. As a member institute of the Leibniz-Gemeinschaft (Leibniz Association) it is engaged in application-oriented fundamental research. The approach is holistic, covering synthesis and modification of polymer materials, their characterization and theoretical investigation, up to processing and testing.

    The European Centre for Nanostructured Polymers is a no-profit private research centre generated in 2007 as final goal of the European Network of Excellence Nanofun-Poly consisting of 26 European universities and research centres. The ECNP has been generated by the 10 core partners of the Network with the main objectives of coordinating, integrating, promoting and performing activities of research, dissemination, education, training and technology transfer related to polymer nanotechnologies.
